Our Story
Founder Heather Garland identified a significant opportunity within the business landscape, leading to the creation of Synergy Pathfinders, LLC in late 2023. Observing that existing services fell short in adequately supporting businesses, nonprofits, and leaders ready to scale, she envisioned a venture dedicated to filling this void. Synergy Pathfinders was thus established as a response to this gap, with a mission to provide specialized assistance that propels growth-oriented businesses forward. Heather’s insight into the unique challenges and opportunities facing these businesses positioned her company as a critical partner for organizations looking to navigate the complexities of expansion effectively.

Our Founder
Heather has over twenty-five years of operational and accounting experience in numerous industries including public accounting, aviation, defense contracting, non-profit, manufacturing, publishing, and other professional services. Her most recent position held was Chief Operating Officer for a 70-person public accounting firm. Heather played a key role in navigating an acquisition, spearheaded operations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and effectively handled a data breach.
Additional experience includes cradle-to-grave accounting, business operations and business development, including multi-state establishments and proposal writing. Her academic background in accounting and psychology equips her with a solid grasp of an organization’s financial dynamics and the skills to manage its human dimensions effectively.
Heather is an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks (Go Hawks!), coffee, hiking and camping, and travelling. She has been involved with non-profit work since 2008 in various capacities but with a focus on sexual assault crisis lines. She currently is a volunteer with the City of Alexandria’s Sexual Assault Center, Doorways, and Arlington Sister City Association.
